Is BillingEvo a SaaS product?
No. You install it on your own hosting or VPS, and your data stays on your server.
Can I install it on cPanel shared hosting?
BillingEvo is designed for shared hosting: no Redis, no background processes, and cron can be called over HTTP if your host does not allow crontab. You need PHP 8.4+ and MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.11+.
Which hosting panels can be automated?
DirectAdmin: create, suspend, unsuspend, terminate, change package, change password, one-click login and usage statistics. cPanel/WHM, Plesk and other panels are not supported for automatic provisioning. For other products you can set up manually after staff approval.
Which payment gateways are supported?
Stripe, BayarCash and CHIP, plus bank transfer with proof-of-payment upload. You need your own merchant account with each provider.
Which domain registrars are supported?
ResellBiz, Spaceship, Namecheap, NameSilo and Cloudflare, plus a Manual driver for TLDs without an API, which turns each action into a staff task. You set your own TLD prices.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If BillingEvo is not right for your business, ask for a full refund within 30 days of your first purchase. Renewals are not refundable.
Can I send WhatsApp notifications?
Yes, through MacroWA Pro or WAHA on your own account. New invoices, payment confirmations, reminders, hosting-ready notices, ticket replies and follow-ups can go out over WhatsApp. Customers can opt out.
Can I move my data from WHMCS or ClientExec?
Yes. The import wizard brings in clients, products, services, domains, invoices, transactions and tickets, with a dry run and a balance reconciliation report before you switch.
Do my customers need new passwords after migrating?
Most do not: passwords stored as bcrypt carry over. The rest receive a password reset email automatically during the switch.
How are taxes handled?
Tax rules by country and state, two tax levels, prices with or without tax, client tax IDs on invoices and a tax liability report. For Malaysia, LHDN e-Invoice (MyInvois) submission is coming soon.
Can customers pay with a saved card and be charged automatically?
Not yet. Saved payment methods and automatic card charging are coming soon. For now customers pay each invoice through a gateway, QuickPay or bank transfer.
Where are my files and backups stored?
Daily backups can go to SFTP, FTP, Dropbox or Google Drive. Ticket attachments and product downloads can be stored on your server, FTP, SFTP or Google Drive.
Is there an API?
Yes. A REST admin API with about 60 endpoints, optional HMAC signing, API roles and IP allow-lists, plus a read-only store API for your website. The documentation is inside the admin.
What happens if I do not renew support and updates?
BillingEvo keeps working. You stop receiving new releases and support until you renew. Your data is never deleted.
How are updates installed?
One-click updates from inside the admin are coming soon. Until then, each update comes as a new release package with installation instructions.
